Mantota soliņa jaunais tērps / New clothes of the inherited bench

Ievācoties jaunajā īres dzīvoklī, tā īpašnieks teica: "Mantas, ko es tur atstāju, vai nu metiet ārā, vai izmantojiet!" To vidū bija arī šis vienkāršais soliņš, kas man šķita gluži glīts, taču nepiestāvēja nevienas istabas interjeram:

When we moved into the new rental apartment, the owner said, "The things I left behind you can either use or throw out". Among them was also this simple and rather attractive bench, which, unfortunately, did not fit into the interior:

I took a decision to do something about it. First of all, I crocheted a bright cover in Bavarian technique to hide the dark blue upholstery I didn't like so much. A few days later, simultaneously with the makeover of other pieces of furniture, I painted the legs of the bench white. Now this small yet very practical piece of furniture is well suited to the apartment interior, so there is no question about its throw-out. The bench will 'live' in our bedroom and serve as a stool by the mirrored dressing table.

Mana jaunā berete / My new beret

Arī lietainā un vētrainā dienā savs prieciņš - pabeidzu tamborēt sev bereti:

Also a rainy and stormy day can be full of pleasure! I finished crocheting a beret:

Būs, ar ko vakarā uz Kuldīgu braukt. Ceru, ka vējš neaizpūtīs :)

Now I have something new to wear when going by car to Kuldiga this evening to buy some kitchen cabinets. I hope the strong wind won't blow me away :)

Krāsains spilvens labsajūtas vairošanai rudenī / Colorful cushion for increased feeling of comfort in autumn

Prezentēju savu jaunāko darinājumu - bavāriešu tehnikā tamborētu spilvenu (40 x 40 cm), kam katra puse ir savā krāsu gammā. Gatavie gabali kādu laiku gulēja dzijas lādē, jo, pa veikaliem staigājot, ikreiz piemirsu nopirkt atbilstoša izmēra spilventiņu. Šorīt beidzot saņēmos un novedu procesu līdz galam. Ja interesē, spilvenu ir iespējams iegādāties.

I proudly present my latest creation – Bavarian crochet cushion (40 x 40 cm) with each side in different colors. The ready-made pieces of cushion case lay in my yarn chest for some time, because, while shopping, I was constantly forgetting to buy an appropriate-sized cushion. This morning, I finally led the process to an end. If you are interested in, the cushion is available for purchase.

Nesašūtos gabalus atzinīgi novērtēja mūsu kaķenīte Šanti, kad viņai uznāca miedziņš:
When our kitten Shanti got sleepy, she preferred to take a nap on the unsewed pieces:

Salvešu gredzeni patriotiskās krāsās / Napkin rings in patriotic colors

Tā kā jau nākamajā mēnesī svinami valsts svētki, uztamborēju sešus sarkanbaltus salvešu gredzenus latviskākam svētku galda klājumam. Ja kādu no jums interesē šādus (vai citu krāsu) salvešu gredzenus iegūt savā īpašumā, esmu gatava tos īpaši jums izgatavot :)

Since next month, November 18, Latvia is celebrating the Independence Day, I crocheted six red-and-white napkin rings for a table decoration for the festive dinner. If you are interested in similar napkin rings in your preferred colors, it will be my pleasure to make them especially for you :)
